Northwest Red Head

Which in my house usually means a bit of extra down time and hopefully some work on finishing my growing pile of completed stitching. I did manage to get another piece in for framing, Baroque by Jean Hilton. My husband picked this as a favorite before we were married, I stitched it, and its been stuck in a drawer for many years, add in a Black friday deal on framing at Joanns and its time to get it on the wall.

My favorite kind of Monday, one where I have the day off. Downside is I'll have all of Monday's work waiting for me when I get to work tomorrow, I'm ok with that now as my current goal is to not get dressed today haha! As I'm off today I'm hoping to finish this one but I have a recipe I want to try so odds are I will be finishing this tomorrow evening but I can hope, right?  The other 11 are sitting on the sewing table with some lovely green Ultrasuede for finishing into the small pillows.  The recommended finishing is weeks dye works wool, a different color for nearly every design, I didn't find anywhere I could buy that small of a cut so I opted for a consistent fabric and I'm thinking about adding a bit of variation of color to the cording that will frame the design.

Despite my very slow start I've rebounded well on the Little House Needleworks Sheep Virtues, I'm now on to #12 in the series and here's hoping I have the motivation to sew them together when I finish the last one Gratitude, Sheep Virtue #11 with some lovely autumn colors. This one was a remarkably quick finish, looking back I started this one on the 29th so this might be a new record for me.  Joyfulness is started with the first pass of the border in, a bit more detail this time so unless I sit still and work on it I may take a bit longer. I considered racing the framer that is working on Earthdancer but she's supposed to be ready on the 10th, not sure I could complete it in 4 days unless I gave up everything else I'm supposed to do in a day, oh wait...
