August Smalls

There should have been something about food in here but it seems time got away from me.  Summer is winding down so more time is being spent outside tending the last of my summer garden and getting some winter plants into the soil in time to germinate for fall and winter, I had rotten luck with my spring lettuce so I'm hoping for better luck in my fall planting. On the stitching front, I've joined just a few stitch a-longs to help keep me motivated to do some stitching.  With the garden, the canning and everything else they'll help me remember to stop and take some time.

This month's stitching project for stitching smalls is the recently finished Courage by Little House Needleworks.  This was the most fun I've had on one of the Sheep Virtues for no other reason than this one included purple, I love purple.  I've even gone so far as to buy purple pens to use which have the added bonus of being harder for people to steal and claim as their own at work, ha!

I'm on to Simplicity now which is going much slower, one section I've frogged 3 times.  The count was off, then the stitching looked very messy, then I miscounted again.  I finally have that section in so I can move along with the rest of the design, I'm actually hoping to get 2 sheep done in the month to keep the momentum going but we'll see what September throws at me for things that need my attention. Thanks for visiting!
