Hearts & Flowers

Ok now I have some progress to show on this piece. This (less the small bit of silver I have to fill in near the top right) is 9 pages of the design *gasp* The center "pinwheel" was a 2 needle stitch which turned out to be much less painful than I had anticipated although I'm sure anyone who would have come along would have gotten a good laugh of me with the stretcher bars wedged between me and my desk and an arm out either way with a needle and thread trying to keep the tension. It all turned out well though but I think it was easier for me since I've done something like this in Baroque previously so I had the general idea on the stitch.
This was the project I took to my EGA meeting last night instead of the Linen Band Sampler we are working on, oops... I was so busy packing up my recent finishes to share and wanting to show everyone this piece that I kinda forgot that part. Oh well, they all enjoyed seeing the new piece and I also had Poirot and Monrovia since I hadn't taken those before except when I was working on one of them. We'll see how much stitching I get done this weekend. The botanical gardens have their annual butterfly "exhibit" that we want to go see this weekend and if the weather is nice there will definately be some outdoor time with the pups but I'd like to get atleast another page done... but then the next page will take a bit, its a ring of Jessica stitches, you all remember how much I "like" those right? LOL I'm sure they'll be better this time around, I even managed to stitch the marlitt without saying any bad words :)

It's looking lovely...fingers crossed I will be able to find someway to get the ornaments too :)

It's funny - I thought they were much bigger - perhaps dinner plate sized....
