NameTag

Almost there and the mistake is there glaring at me, I'm so mad :( The directions actually call for first and last name starting at the left margin and I didn't like it so I changed it to only have my first name and centered it, or so I thought. I didn't realize until I was putting in the "L" that I was off by a few threads. That means a trip to Hobby Lobby to see if I can find a small charm or buttom to stick there before my name so it will look like I did it on purpose :) Now I just have the backstitch border to finish so I can assemble it.

I have a knitting pattern I was wanting to start as well. A while back I got a pattern for felted bowls and as I as sitting at my sewing table I thought of them and all the leftovers of wool I have from my various bags that I could use on it. So I dug out the pattern and yarn and went to get needles only to find, ARGHH! That I don't have the size circular needles I need. I actually don't have the proper size double points either but I decided I could go up a size to use a set I have but I'll still have to get a set of circulars as I have no desire to work the whole piece on double points. Just not my day for projects I guess ;)

  1. Well if you hadn't said anything, I certainly wouldn't have noticed. Hope you find the perfect charm!

  2. I agree, I totally didn't notice it was off. But if you do then it will annoy you if you don't fix it. :D Still looks great though and so does your needle roll finish. :D

  3. My gosh, it's only a couple of threads! Like Kim and Christine, I wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't said anything. If you can't find a charm that you like, I hope that you'll find a way to live in peace with it! I've forced myself to accept mistakes like that because I'm too much of a perfectionist, so it's good for me to try to get over it. ;)

  4. Now that I am looking at it in the picture it doesn't look so bad, however when its here in my hand its absolutely annoying. I will probably leave it as I haven't found a charm that I like that will fit in the spot.

  5. Oh, I wouldn't have seen that little mistake had you not mentioned it - but I agree, even if others won't see it, as long as we ourselves have a look at it and recognize it, it's enough to feel the need to change it! It's still an absolutely great piece of work!
    Best wishes from Austria!
